What is “Corporation 2020”? It is the story of the corporation through history and into the future. From their earliest forms in ancient Rome and India, to Henry Ford’s innovations in the early 1900s, through to today’s vast multinationals, corporations have stamped their presence in many aspects of society.Their rise to economic dominance has delivered many benefits, but at significant and growing social cost.
“Corporation 2020” describes this progression, but goes beyond historical commentary. It discusses some of the most troubling environmental and social impacts of modern corporations, and, importantly proposes how we can rethink the ways in which they interact with society.
