“Aakash Maindwal Foundation” (AMF) is a community-based adolescent youth learning center. AMF aims to include all children in the neighborhood who are forced out of mainstream education system in Vaishali area of Ghaziabad.

Aakash Maindwal Foundation since its formation in September’ 2009(03/09/2009) has been providing Secondary & Sr. Secondary Level education to underprivileged girls of Vaishali area in Ghaziabad. The aim is to educate the girls as well as to make them strong and confident people with values and skills which will stay with them all their lives.

Besides their Course subjects like (Hindi, English, Data Entry Operations (Windows and MS Office), Home Science, Painting and Indian Culture and Heritage) the foundation is also teaching them Spoken English and Tailoring.

There are more than approximately 5000 deprived girls in Vaishali area who are not able to complete their education because of family problems. Our aim is to convince their parents to allow their children to get the basic education. At times it is becoming very difficult to convince their parents that education is must for all. There are many girls and women who have studied up to class 5th or 6th. The foundation is also providing education to such underprivileged girls and women. The foundation is also helping weaker section girls of Vaishali, Ghaziabad for taking admission in Purva Madhyamik Vidhayalalaya of Vaishali in Sector – 5, Ghaziabad. This is the only government school in Vaishali, Ghaziabad and it is up to class 8th only. Because of no Government Higher Secondary School in Vaishali Ghaziabad and majority of the girls studying in this school are not able to persue their studies after class 8th. The foundation is picking up the dropouts and enhancing their talent by providing them a platform.

So far all around 25 students of “Aakash Maindwal Foundation” have passed Secondary school examination. All 25 students have been admitted in Sr. Secondary Course from NIOS. The biggest achievement is that they are the first generation in their whole family to be high school Pass. No family member in their entire family had studied up to class 10th. These children did rigorous study of 10 to 12 hours daily.

The foundation is focusing on women and girls for more than 4 years and we think that, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities to escape poverty if she equipped with the proper resources. To bring the positive change the foundation has been unwavering in mission to assist and support the poor and destitute. The foundation hopes that the proposed changes in the future can make real difference in the lives of people from weaker sections. Through BCF we got extended support from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) which helps us to provide Secondary and Sr. Secondary Education and Basics of computer to outstand them in Competitive world with confidence.

Our mission is to spark the light through Education in all the underprivileged girls so that they can brighten their life and remove the darkness from their life to fight against social evils and bring prosperity plus social harmony to the Society.
