COl. V.G. Deshmukh had his schooling and college education in Mumbai & Pune. He joined the Indian Army and was commissioned in the Armoured Corps in 1967. On retirement after a distinguished career in the Army in 2001, Col. V.G. Deshmukh joined Jankidevi Bajaj Gramvikas Sanstha on 1st January 2003. He is now fully involved in Integrated Rural Development activities of JBGVS.
