ANNUAL CSR LECTURES
BCF organizes open discourses on CSR in partnership with IIC (India International Centre), New Delhi. Starting in 2009, the series began with CSR & in 2010 has focused on Poverty issues and topics such as Agrarian Crisis, Right to Food, urban poverty etc and has reached out to over 1000 persons from civil society, students, industry & NGOs. These sessions are free and open to all.
August 3rd, 2012 - 11th BCF-IIC lecture on "Gross National Happiness Index of Bhutan" by H.E. Lyonpo Yeshey Zimba, Minister of works & Human Settlement.
July 29th, 2011 - 10th BCF-IIC lecture on "Magarpatta Story" by Satish Magar of Magarpatta City Pune.
July 30th, 2010- A lecture on “The Global Development of ESG Reporting and the implications for India” by Mr. Ernst Ligteringen, Chief Executive, Global Reporting Initiative.The Lecture
August 1st, 2009- A lecture on “CSR & Companies: A lot more than charity” by Ms Naina Lal Kidwai, Group General Manager & Country Head HSBC India.
July 12th, 2008- A lecture on “Role of Business in the Community” by Mr. Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Auto.
April 5th, 2007- A lecture on “Business with a Heart- MindTree and India Stories” by Mr Ashok Soota, Chairman & Managing Director, MindTree Consulting.
March 7th, 2006- A lecture on “Can business be a dynamic force for Development?” by Late Mr. Robert Davies, Former founder CEO, IBLF, UK.
December 9th, 2004- A lecture on “Corporate Social Responsibility” by Ms Anu Aga, Ex-Chairperson Thermax Ltd., on CSR.
March 30th, 2001- A lecture on “CSR in the Indian Context” by Mr N. Vittal, Central Vigilance Commissioner.
